By investing in in-house testing, Leer can evaluate product performance, refine designs, and ensure customers receive solutions they can depend on.
To support that commitment, Leer designed and built a custom environmental test chamber at its manufacturing facility. Measuring 11’6½” x 25′ x 12’1¼”, the floorless walk-in was engineered specifically for product testing rather than storage. The chamber features variable temperature controls that allow engineers to recreate a wide range of operating conditions, helping validate refrigeration performance, durability, and product reliability before equipment reaches the field.
Constructed with 4-inch insulated panels, the chamber utilizes 26-gauge stucco-embossed galvanized steel on the exterior and 26-gauge white stucco-embossed galvanized steel on the interior. A Z-angle screed creates a seamless floorless installation, while an oversized 72″ x 96″ pass-through sliding door connects the chamber to an adjacent test lab. This unique design allows large refrigeration units and equipment to be easily moved between testing environments, expanding the types of products and applications that can be evaluated.
